In their first season with the Club, the Saturday side were unlucky to lose this final under the floodlights at Langford FC. Most onlookers in the 170-strong crowd agreed that we deserved at least extra-time after a classy performance.

The Saturday team, who finished runners-up in Division 3, put in a brilliant performance in the semi-final, when they won 2-1 away at Elstow Abbey, who sat top of Division 1 at the time of the match. Unfortunately, the team couldn't quite reproduce that form in the final and went down to two scrappy goals against their opponents also from Division 1 in the Beds.County League.
